Customs Intelligence issues alert on import of telecom equipment

KARACHI: Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation-FBR, Karachi region has issued an intelligence alert to all field formations and collectorates to remain vigilant as they had received credible information  regarding import of telecommunication equipments by various telecom companies and clearance thereof through mis-declaration of description and PCT, etc.

They have advised the field formations and collectorates  to be vigilant and monitor the clearance of consignments of telecom equipments and to ensure submission of material documents(scanned) at the time of filing of GDs for proper classification  and assessment  to safeguard government’s legitimate revenue.
