17,741 units sold in June: Auto sales up by 49%

LAHORE: Auto sales in the country have witnessed 49 per cent growth as 17,741 units were sold in June 2015 as compared to 11,913 units in the same month of the previous year.

According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA), on a MoM basis, the industry faced 8 per cent decline due to a slowdown in PSMC’s sales. On a quarterly basis, the industry sales clocked in at 56,247 units in 4QFY15, up 2%MoM/55%YoY. INDU remained the prime performer during the month with a growth of 3.6xYoY led by robust sales of Corolla, up by whopping 5.0xYoY.
