LAHORE: The PIAF-Founders Alliance has urged the government to create consensus on Kalabagh Dam immediately to avoid horrible flood devastation in the future.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, PIAF-Founders Alliance leaders Sheikh Muhammad Arshad and Sheikh Muhammad Asif said that recent floods had written new stories of destruction in all the provinces. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their property and other assets. They said that had Kalabagh Dam been constructed a few years back, the situation would have been quite satisfactory and the volume of loss would have been much smaller.
