Customs Court issues warrants for smuggling suspect

LAHORE: The Customs Court has ordered accused Muhammad Akram son of Muhammad Aslam to appear in court within 10 days. Muhammad Aslam is wanted by authorities in a smuggling case.

According to details, Customs Intelligence Multan had registered a case against him in early 2012 but they could not arrest him. The suspect was found involved in smuggling in which Customs had registered a case under section of 156 and 178 of Pakistan Customs Act 1969.

Now the Court has issued warrants for him and directed him to present himself in the Court within 10 days after the issuance of the notice otherwise he will be declared as a proclaimed offender.  As per data available to Customs Today, Muhammad Akram is a resident of 124 Feroza Liaqatpur district Rahim Yar Khan.

The Special Court of Nazeer Ahmad Gajana has issued proclaimed warrants for the accused and directed him to appear before the Court otherwise he could be included in proclaimed offenders list.
