FBR collects Rs 140b revenue in first month of FY 2015-16

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has successfully collected Rs 140 billion during first month of current fiscal year 2015-16. The amount is six percent extra as compared to the previous year. The FBR collected Rs 133 billion in July last year.

Now in July, 2015, FBR collected Rs 140 billion, including amount of rebate amounting to Rs 14.6 billion. The Federal Board of Revenue collected Rs 8 billion in one day i.e. July 30, 2015. The performance of FBR is very encouraging in the start of current fiscal year and figures shows six per cent increase in collection of taxes.
