Floods disturb clearance of KAPCO’s consignments

MULTAN:  Heavy floods have disturbed the clearance of  import consignment of Kot Addu Power Plant Company (KAPCO) .

Floods caused  severe destruction  in the infrastructure of the South Punjab and damaged roads and bridges. Due to floods situation,  KAPCO’s  import consignment have got late and six  containers of chemicals and machinery were brought from other routes.

The worth of  KAPCO’s import is almost Rs 15 million. On Thursday, the goods declaration was also filed late because roads were blocked. The  KAPCO consignment was cleared late by Pakistan Trade International Clearing Agency. Principal Appraiser  Officer Mehmood Ahmad Khan while talking to Customs Today said KAPCO’s containers were cleared late due to the floods.
