New Angry Birds 2 brings many new characters and modes of gameplay

LONDON: The game that spawned legions of mobile gaming converts, noisy toys, beach towels and school back packs is now back, this time with a sequel number.

Ever since it upended the casual gaming space in 2009, Angry Birds had everyone from kids and grandmas thumbing away at phone screens. So big was the franchise that it warranted 13 editions, with characters including Luke Skywalker from Star Wars to Blu from Rio?
