WARSAW: Poland’s EUR-denominated exports likely grew by a surprising 13.3% year on year and by 3.1% month on month to EUR 14.56 billion in June, export insurer KUKE said in a statement.
“The strong, untypical growth this year is suggested by manufacturing results and wholesale turnover data,” KUKE report reads. “As a result, the annual exports growth rate could have been notably higher than in May.” In PLN-terms exports increased by 13.9% y/y and by 5.1% m/m to PLN 60.6 billion.
In June-August 2015 exports are expected to rise by 12.3% y/y in EUR terms and by 12.0% in PLN terms. In FY 2015 exports should reach EUR 176.6 billion, up 12.3% y/y. In zloty, that figure is seen at PLN 727.7 billion, up 10.6% y/y. For 2016 KUKE analysts expect exports to grow by 10.2% y/y to EUR 194.7 billion or by 7.0% to PLN 779 billion when expressed in Polish zloty.
