Pak-China Economic Corridor to start new era of economic stability: Basit

LAHORE: Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) Chairman Abdul Basit has said that enemies of Pakistan are afraid of our success and are trying to destabilize Pakistan but they will not be allowed to play havoc with the national interests.

In a statement issued here, Abdul Basit said that those are the enemies of the country who are inviting India to interfere in the internal matters of Pakistan and asking United Nations and NATO to send their forces in Karachi.

Abdul Basit paid rich tributes to the Pakistan armed forces for their operation cleanup in Karachi and security forces have once again proved that they would not allow anti-Pakistan elements to take the innocent people as hostages. He said that whole nation stands united behind the armed forces and would not hesitate in offering any sacrifice to remove the menace of terrorism.

He said that they would be accountable who are chanting slogans against the Pakistan armed forces. He urged the chambers of commerce and industry to pass resolutions against harsh language against Pakistan army and other national institutes.

Chairman PBIT said that conspiracy of the anti-Pakistan elements would not be successful and country would continue its journey on the path of progress and prosperity. He said that Pak-China Economic Corridor would start a new era of economic stability.   Chairman PBIT said that all stakeholders are being taken on board to get their important feedback.

He said that Punjab government was addressing all the key issues on priority basis to improve investment scenario.

Abdul Basit said that a number of sectors in Punjab including infrastructure development, coal, energy, agriculture, livestock, textiles and pharmaceutical offer lucrative investment opportunities to the potential investors. He said that a proper marketing strategy would be evolved to promote investment in these sectors of Punjab.
