HAVANA: Tourist resorts in Cuba collected over 147 million Cuban convertible pesos (very close to same amount in US dollars), particularly in accommodation, catering and transportation services, spent by domestic tourists.
The information was reported by the National Statistics Office www.onei.cu explaining that the figures belong to resorts with the National Tourism Ministry (MINTUR), Gaviota Hotel Chain, Habaguanex Company and Palco Corporation, and include both traditional tourist resorts and camping sites.
Those resorts reported a total of 1 million 208 thousand 123 visitors last year.
