ISLAMABAD, Aug 6 (APP): Minister of State for Federal Education, Professional Training, Interior and Narcotics Control Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman on Thursday said the government has prepared a policy to privatize institutions in the larger interest of the country.
Responding to a public petition in the Upper House of the Parliament, the minister said the privatization policy would be favorable for the labors working in the institutions.
He said the government was also taking on board the CBAs of the institution that would be privatized.
Earlier speaking on the petition, Deputy Chairman Senate, Senator
Abdul Ghafoor Haidri said that many institutions were also privatized in past and this act had left hundreds of jobless.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed suggested that the government should not privatize profitable institutions and there should be prior justification before privatization of the institutions.
