Acer introduces variety of products with Windows 10, at event in Mumbai, along with Microsoft

NEW YORK: Acer has unveiled a variety of products with Windows 10, at an event in Mumbai, along with Microsoft. The devices included five notebooks, one all-in-one desktop and a couple of monitors including a massive 34-incher. The Aspire E5-573, the Aspire V Nitro-Black Gaming Edition, and the Aspire R 13 were the highlight of the day.

Acer’s entire 2015 Windows product line up and those currently shipping Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 will support the free Windows 10 upgrade for a year. Acer has also acquired Skype certification across its consumer notebook line-up.

Aspire V Nitro-Black Edition:

Gamers are going to love this machine and especially with the price and features it offers. The Aspire V Nitro gaming notebook caught our attention. It is available in a 15-inch screen size and the patterned covers are equipped with soft touch NIL (Nano Imprint Lithography) technology. It packs in a powerful and the latest 4th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with 12GB of RAM. The V Nitro sports a 4K UHD display with IPS Technology and is powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M. The notebook is equipped with Acer Dust Defender technology and Dolby Digital Plus Home Theatre with four speakers.

Aspire E5-573:

The new Aspire E5-573 notebook comes in two variants, 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays. They feature a textile-pattern on the A-cover and D-cover, manufactured through a brand new process, involving 3D scanning of fabric samples. It is powered by 5th Gen Intel Core processors, NVIDIA GeForce 920M series graphic card coupled with DDR3 RAM, up to 16GB and up to 1TB HDD storage options. The device includes the latest True Harmony audio technology optimized for use with the new Cortana voice assistant that’s part of Windows 10. The new model also includes the latest Digital MEMS (Micro Electro Mechnical System) Microphone technology pioneered by Acer.

Aspire R 13:

The 13.3-inch display Aspire R 13 is a slim notebook (less than 1 inch) and weighs just over 1.5 kg. The Aspire R 13 comes with a unique Acer Ezel Aero Hinge that provides flexibility. The 13.3-inch display is affixed to this special hinge at the sides, which allows the screen to rotate 180-degrees.

The other products showcased were the Aspire Switch 12, Aspire V3, Aspire Z AIO, 24″ XB240H monitor and the 34″ XR341CK monitor.

Pricing (with Windows 10):

Acer Aspire V Nitro gaming notebook and the Acer Aspire R13 will be available at Rs 1.10 lakhs and Rs. 89,999 respectively, while the budget Acer Aspire E5-573 will be available at a price starting at Rs. 26,499.
