Hyderabad Customs confiscates 8,000 litres of Iranian diesel

HYDERABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Hyderabad has seized 8000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel worth Rs 800,000 here the other day.

As per details, Hyderabad Customs collector received information regarding the smuggling of Iranian diesel in the area of Tando Allahyar on which he formed a team to foil the attempt of smuggling.

Following the instructions of the collector, customs team under the supervision of assistant collector intercepted a truck and recovered 8000 liters of Iranian diesel. The officials seized the diesel, besides impounding the truck being used for the transportation of the diesel.

Hyderabad Customs also arrested an accused namely Shafiullah, while another accused fled away.
