ALASKA: Bill Sparks, president and executive director of the Veterans Business Association (VBA) says the free HUB training can help local businesses owned by veterans and vets disabled in service compete for state contracts.
A series of training workshops to help small business owners and service disabled veterans in particular learn the ins and outs of competing with the big boys begins this Thursday, Aug. 13.The state’s Historically Underutilized Business, or HUB, program targets small business owners in Texas.
It helps them obtain contracting and purchasing opportunities with the state and its agencies, according to a news release.In El Paso, the Veterans Business Association is partnering with Prairie View A&M University and the El Paso Chamber of Commerce to conduct Texas HUB Certification training for qualified businesses
