FBR officers asked to show performance to get promotions

LAHORE: Punjab Board of Revenue (PBR) Senior Member Nadeem Ashraf said officials would be promoted on the basis of performance.

Ashraf said that all revenue officers must address the public complaints within 48 hours. The PBR senior member said that all recovery officials should complete their assigned targets to avoid inquiries.

Ashraf also instructed the officials to complete the survey of losses in
the flood-hit areas timely. Insisting on transparency, he said, if any flaw was found in the survey report the board would take strong action against the officials concerned.

Addressing the secretary, deputy secretaries, revenue officer and
registrars, he said that flood victims were being compensated on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He added that the services of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) were being utilised to bring transparency in the survey report of flood-hit areas.
