World Bank President calls on Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: World Bank President Jin Kong Kim has called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in New York and agreed to give Pakistan $11 billion in next four years for different water, irrigation and hydel power projects.

Jin Kong Kim said that the World Bank would help Pakistan to overcome situation caused by natural calamity and would extend assistance for flood relief. He said that the Bank would also provide funds for construction of the Diamer-Basha and Dasu dams and eradication of polio.
