PR to facilitate passengers on Eid with 14 special trains

LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has announced that Pakistan Railways (PR) will operate 14 special trains on Eid from several cities.

The federal minister, presiding over a meeting at the PR headquarters, also decided to speed up action to recover arrears of Rs1 billion from the administration of Business Express train.

As per details, four special trains will be run from Karachi – one train for Peshawar, one for Lahore, one for Rawalpindi and one for Sargodha.

Three trains will be run from Lahore – two for Karachi and one for Narowal. Similarly, two trains will be run from Rawalpindi – one for Lahore and one for Multan while one train each from Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Sargodha and Narowal.

Railways General Manager (Operations) Javaid Anwar Boobak, Additional GM (Traffic) Mahmood Hassan, Chief Marketing Manager Zubair Shafi Ghauri, Chief Commercial Manager Khalid Khursheed and other officers were also present.
