ASO Faisalabad seizes Indian brand black tea

FAISALABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization ( ASO)  Faisalabad has seized foreign origin black tea of CTC brand .

Sources told Customs Today that Model Customs Collector Tauseef Ahmed Qureshi received a credible information regarding smuggling of Indian brand black tea.

After receiving the information Collector Tauseef Ahmed Qureshi immediately constituted a raiding team comprising  Zahid Bukhari (Superintendent), Mehmood Ahmad Doger (inspector), Muhammad Naeem, Hafiz Nisar Ahmad, and Asrar Ahmad (sepoy’s ).

The customs team conducted a raid on Quetta Goods Transport Company, near New Truck Stand Jhang Road Faisalabad and seized 38 bags of black tea weighting 2450  kilograms.

The customs teams asked the accused persons Adil Javaid son of  Javaid Iqbal who is resident of Chak No. 102-GB Islampura Faisalabad and Abdul Hanan son of Abdur Rashid who is P-94, Mohallah Khalidabad, Faisalabad to produce legal documents regarding possession of the tea.

But the failed to produce the same. Upon their failure customs authorities seized the tea and registered a case against the accused persons.
