ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced to continue supplying agreed quantity of electricity to K-Electric on the previous terms and conditions till the renewal of the agreement.
The Ministry of Water and Power has decided to give K-Electric 650 megawatt electricity after second round of talks held in Islamabad to review the 2008 agreement of the company.
The previous agreement was expired in January this year, but by exerting political pressure, the K-Electric were supplied 650 MW electricity.
According to the official sources in ministry, Minister Water and Power Khawaja Asif presided over the meeting which was also attended by Minister Petroleum Khaqan Abbasi and discussed power supply to K-Electric and the company’s non-payment of Rs48 billion to NTDC.
