Businessmen call for urgent removal of SSP Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The business community of Islamabad led by Munawar Mughal, Vice President FPCCI and Shaban Khalid, President ICCI staged a big demonstration outside Kohsar Police Station to condemn the police brutality on traders’ leader Ajmal Baloch and called for urgent removal of Asmatullah Junejo, SSP Islamabad. They also demanded for immediate withdrawal of police FIR against Ajmal Baloch. They chanted slogans against manhandling of Islamabad Police and vowed that they would not tolerate such inhuman approach of police.

Addressing the protesters, Munawar Mughal said that Asmatullah Junejo, SSP Islamabad should be terminated immediately and notification of suspended police officials should be issued without delay and thorough investigation should be conducted against those police officials who were responsible for beating of Ajmal Baloch. He said strong protest movement will be launched against the police if urgent measures were not taken to meet the demands of business community.
