NASA condusts test of RS-25 engine that design for travel to red planet

PARIS: World famous American space agency NASA recently conducted a developmental test on a powerful rocket engine designed for traveling to Mars – the Red Planet.

NASA conducted the tested the RS-25 engine at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi last Thursday. It was the sixth of the total seven tests that the space agency has planned to conduct to determine the dependability of the engine.

The RS-25 engine can produce more than 12 million horsepower or a whopping 512,000 pounds of thrust. Its main shaft is capable of rotating more than ten times fasters than car moving at a speed of 60 miles per hour. In addition, it is capable of handling massive strain and pressure without any problem.
