BAGHDAD: The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)’s attack on the Kirkuk-Ceyhan oil pipeline has led to a decline in oil exports from Iraq to Turkey, the local government said.

A statement, the Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said exports were down 6.5 per cent in July when compared to June.

The oil transfer process stopped for a period of 111 hours because of PKK attacks which began on 27 July.

The Kurdish ministry of natural resources announced earlier that PKK attacks on the pipeline resulted in damages estimated at $250 million.
