Japan delays launch of HTV-5 cargo ship to space station due to bad weather

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has pushed the launch of its H-II Transport Vehicle (HTV)-5 to the worldwide Space Station to 8:35 a.m. EDT on Monday, August 17.
The launch was initially scheduled for Sunday, August sixteen, and postponed till Monday.
Due to bad weather, however, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA ) decided to postpone the launch. However, launch date could also be delayed additional due to weather circumstances.
The event is now set to take place on Wednesday.
As noted, the cargo craft is expected to deliver a total of 4.5 tons of supplies to the global Space Station.
After the HTV-5 has been captured by the station’s robotic Canadarm2, the ship will dock with the station at about 9:45 a.m. NASA Television’s coverage of this installation process will be begin at 9:15 a.m.
NASA’s announcement came two days after Virginia-based Orbital ATK said it plans to resume sending its own Cygnus unmanned cargo ship to the space station in early December using a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas 5 rocket.
