Tevta appoints 20 institute placement officers

LAHORE: The Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) has appointed 20 institute placement officers (IPOs) to provide jobs to its pass-outs.

The appointed IPO will visit industries of their districts concerned to arrange jobs. These appointments will help Tevta to achieve its target to place 60,000 graduates in industry during the year across Punjab.

This was stated by Tevta Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing a meeting here at the authority’s Secretariat. The meeting was attended by Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, General Managers Hamid Ghani Anjum, Abdul Qayyum, Azhar Iqbal Shad, Abdul Qayyum and other officers.

Irfan Qaiser said that the Tevta has enhanced its placement activity at lower level. The appointment of IPOs will make better coordination with local industry to provide them trained manpower, he said, adding that these officers are properly coordinating with concerned district placement officers and placement cell at Tevta Secretariat to provide placement information on daily basis.
