BOGOTÁ: Colombian thermal coal exports for July dropped 14% year on year to 6.295 million mt following a fall in shipments to Brazil, the Netherlands and the UK, data from Colombian shipping agent Deep Blue showed.
The July exports were up 4% from June.
Exports to the Netherlands in July fell to their lowest monthly volume this year, down 38% year on year to 715,624 mt and down 37% month on month.
Coal destined for the UK tumbled 79% year on year to 104,218 mt, which was down 1% month on month, while shipments to Brazil decreased 52% year on year to 305,948 mt, up 25% month on month.
