Collector Adjudication Saleem Ranjha confiscates Rs15m smuggled goods

MULTAN: Customs Collector Adjudication Saleem Ahmad Ranjha has confiscated thousands of smuggled tyres worth Rs10 million and a trailer vehicle worth Rs5 million.

As per details, Multan Customs Collectorate’s Anti-Smuggling Organisation had seized as many as 2,268 Indian-origin tyres in June this year and registered a case 21/2014. However, after completing investigation, the Collector Adjudication has decided to confiscate the seized goods as the person who was claiming to be the owner, failed to provide evidence of his ownership.
