LAHORE: All the candidates of Gohar Ejaz group have been elected unopposed in the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) elections for 2015-16 as no other nomination paper was filed on the last date.
The group has won the Aptma elections for the seventh consecutive year. The group leader nominated Amir Fayyaz for the post of chairman APTMA Punjab. Syed Ali Ahan will again be the senior vice chairman of Punjab, while Adil Bashir will serve as its vice chairman.
The Gohar Ejaz group has won all the 24 seats against the stalwarts. Since then, the group has maintained 24-0 under its leadership and its respect and following has reached a level where almost 90 percent of the members fully support the policies and strategies of the group in turning the textile industry into a national treasure again to win back its viability in the world map.
Gohar Ejaz group has fielded 24 candidates from all over Pakistan including eleven candidates for the central managing committee out of which six belong to Punjab and five belong to Sindh zone.
Aamir Fayyaz, APTMA Chairman elected for Punjab, is the grandson of founder member of APTMA, established sixty years ago. He is the third generation chairman heading the premier textile industry association.
