Customs seizes hashish worth Rs 0.66m during checking

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Peshawar has seized 11 kilograms of hashish and Honda Civic car and arrested a suspect.

According to details, the Customs authorities received information that an attempt will be made to smuggle drugs. Meanwhile, the customs staff stopped a Honda Civic car bearing registration no. LOZ-4322 chassis no. PK 65101435 model 1996 on a check point on Peshawar GT Road. After thoroughly searching the car, the customs staff recovered 11 kilograms of foreign origin of hashish having worth of Rs 0.66 million. The customs staff arrested the accused and registered a case against the suspect. The authorities have impound the car.
