Peshawar Customs Intelligence holds 11kg charas, a vehicle

ISLAMABAD: The Directorate of Investigation and Intelligence, Customs Peshawar, has seized 11 kilogram of charas and impounded a vehicle, Honda Civic and arrested a suspect.

According to the details, the Customs Intelligence Peshawar received information regarding the smuggling of drugs. Therefore, a customs team was formed which stopped a Honda Civic car bearing Registration No. LOZ-4322 model 1996 at a check post on GT Road, Peshawar.

After the thoroughly searching the car, the customs staff recovered 11 kg of charas having worth of Rs 660,000 million.

The customs staff arrested the accused on the spot and lodged an FIR No. 177/2015 against him and impounded the offending car while registering also a case 89/2015 of smuggling.

Sources said that smuggler was a professional smuggler and wanted to smuggle drugs to other parts of the country from Peshawar.
