BUDAPEST: Hungarian state-owned Pro-M inaugurated a HUF 3 bln development of the communications network it operates for Hungaryʼs emergency services, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.
The project was financed entirely with European Union funding, CEO Béla Kozma said, adding that in total, some HUF 21 bln has been spent on expanding the network.
Magyar Telekom, the Hungarian subsidiary of German telco giant Deutsche Telekom, established Pro-M to build and operate the network in 2005, MTI noted, adding that it sold the company to the National Infocommunications Service Company (NISZ) in 2012.
