GEORGIA: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGA) is preparing for the grand opening of its new Columbus office facility. The three story, 235,000 square foot building will house more than 1,700 employees by 2017 and serve as BCBSGa’s largest hub. The health insurer says the Columbus office will serve as a prototype for future office developments by the company.
The grand opening ceremony for the facility on Technology Parkway in Columbus will be held Wednesday, September 2 at 10 a.m.Georgia Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, BCBSGa President Morgan Kendrick and Brian Anderson, President and CEO of the Greater Columbus Chamber of Commerce are among the speakers planned for the grand opening ceremony.
