FBR to restore circle tax offices of RTO Multan soon‏

MULTAN: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will restore the circle office of the Regional Tax Office in Multan City for the collection of taxes from October 1, 2015.

According to details, Central Secretary Federal Revenue Alliance Tahir Khakwani told Customs Today that the FBR is going to reinstate the circle tax offices located in the jurisdiction of Regional Tax Office Multan very soon. The Federal Board of Revenue had closed the circle tax offices six years ago.

Circle tax offices in Multan Regional Tax Offices will start their operation again after the restoration of circle office existed in the power from 1st October. Every tehsil will be comprised of two circle tax offices in the Regional Tax Offices for the collection of taxes. These two circle offices will assist the general masses in the collection of taxes through their tax facilitation centers in the tehsils.

Central Secretary Federal Revenue Alliance Tahir Khakwani further told that employees from Regional Tax Office Multan will be given special training before assigning them tasks in the circle tax offices very soon. The purpose of training program is to improve the skills of the tax offices employed at the circle office.

We have raised this matter with the Member Tax Policy Shahid Hussain Asad for the restoration of circle offices and he has ensured that circle offices in the Region Tax Office Multan are going to be restored soon.
