ANKARA: The Turkish government has been planning to restructure of customs gates by clearing the deck in a bid to solve clogging at borders and to speed up transactions.
Sources said that the Customs and Trade Minister Nurettin Canikli has already ordered officials to prepare a project to renew all 17 of Turkey’s customs gates till next year.
“After the ferocity haunted the Syrian territory, the Turkish customs, as they shared the common border, have been a subject of constant criticism due to long queues caused by bureaucratic procedures and smuggling allegations,” they added.
