FBR, World Bank negotiations on tax administration reforms conclude

World Bank spending Rs 20 million to develop databank for FBR

ISLAMABAD: Dialogues between the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the World Bank on tax administration reforms have been completed. However the World Bank mission will send the report to the FBR next month, it is learnt here.

According to the details, the FBR has prepared PC-1 for the data warehouse/databank in the light of feasibility report made by World Bank. While the bank mission has also completed its homework on the tax administration reforms projects and its sub-projects.

They added that WB will spend almost Rs 20 million for the development of the data bank. Under this project, data will be gathered from NADRA, banks, Excise and Taxation, airline companies of people which will help the FBR to get information of their income and expenses.

Sources also said that the mission will also come to Pakistan after one month to review and examine the work and progress on the training and logistics studies.
