SINGAPORE: Singapore shares opened mostly flat as at 9.03 am on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index up 0.88 points to 2,922.32 despite overnight weakness in US equities.
About 102.9 million shares worth S$129.2 million in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$1.26 per share.
The most actively traded stock was Ezra Holdings, which rose 0.3 Singapore cents, or 2.3 per cent, to 13.3 Singapore cents with 13.8 million shares changing hands.
Among the index stocks, DBS Group Holdings eased 0.3 per cent to S$17.71.
Losers outnumbered gainers 86 to 61, or about seven down for every five up.
