The Start Planet NI scheme is an initiative designed to help high potential start-ups access early stage support and private equity investment.

It’s being headed up by start-up stalwart, entrepreneur and mentor, Bill Liao, along with Wayne Murphy and Diane Roberts from Xcell Partners.

The seed accelerator is being supported by Invest NI, with the first Start Planet NI programme kicking off in November.

It’s set to bring together start-ups from here and their international counterparts to help build Northern Ireland’s next generation of businesses.

The three-month accelerator programme will be based at a new ‘co-working space’, currently being developed on Donegall Street in the Cathedral Quarter area of the Belfast.

It will offer 10 spaces for businesses to get involved. And firms will also have access to a team of mentors and experts, each with a wide range of international experience, to help offer invaluable and intensive mentoring and coaching to programme participants.

Australian businessman Mr Liao is to launch the new scheme this week.
