MEXICAN: Sergio Padilla, owner of Gabino’s Mexican Grill, cuts the ribbon on his new restaurant during a Butts County Chamber of Commerce .The Butts County Chamber of Commerce welcomed its newest member and the community’s newest eatery on Sept. 1 with a ribbon cutting event at Gabino’s Mexican Grill.
Owner Sergio Padilla said it is his second location. There is also a Gabino’s location in Locust Grove. The Jackson restaurant is located at 789 Ga. Highway 36 W., suite B, near the intersection of Ga. 36 and Stark Road. Padilla said he is happy to have a location in Jackson.
“I was very surprised in a good way about the location and the people of Jackson,” he said. “I think it’s a good place to be.”The menu at Gabino’s includes appetizers like chips and various dips, nachos, quesadillas, salads, soups, seafood, enchiladas, burritos and tacos. There are also pork, seafood and chicken entrees. Gabino’s offers lunch specials, including tacos, burritos, fajitas and chimichangas, ranging in price from $5.95 to $8.95.
