NOGALES: A Tucson-area woman was arrested when Customs and Border Protection officers in Nogales found methamphetamine and cocaine worth a combined $467,000 in her vehicle, authorities said.
CBP officers at the Dennis DeConcini crossing arrested Carissa Corona, 29, after a drug dog turned up nearly 41 pounds of cocaine worth more than $426,000, and 13 pounds of meth worth around $40,000, the agency said.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle, and Corona was handed over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
