Auction of cars, motorcycles on Oct 27

KARACHI: Regional Tax Office Bahawalpur will hold an open auction of  government cars on as-and-where-it-is basis at its office building located at 21-A Sarwar Shaeed Road, Model Town at 1:00 pm on July 27.

In all a total of 12 government vehicles, one car and 11 motorcycles would be put up for the auction. The vehicles to be put up for auction on as-and-where-it-is basis include: a Suzuki Potohar 1995-1000cc car; three Honda CG-125cc motorcycles, all 1992 models; 6 Yamaha 100cc motorcycles, all 1994 make; one Yamaha 100cc bike, 1989 model and one Suzuki 100cc 1996 model bike.

The vehicles could be checked-out during the office hours at the RTO Office building. Every bidder would have to deposit Rs 20,000 for the jeep and Rs 5,000 for motorcycles through a bank draft or pay order payable to Chief Commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Office Bhawalpur. The deposit is refundable.

The successful bidder should have to pay the tax as per the law and would have to deposit an earnest money of 25 percent of the bid money through bank draft or pay order on the spot. The remaining amount of the bid should have to be paid within 10 months after the auction date or the earnest money would be forfeited. A successful bidder would be bound to change the current sky blue colour of the vehicle.
