O’Day says the Melbourne office will include support, account management and business development teams for Australia and the APAC region. “Emma is in a unique position right now,” O’Day said.

“We offer a full set of savvy email marketing capabilities paired with world-class support and services, and we wrap it all in an Emma experience that makes it all incredibly approachable – and affordable – for small and medium-sized businesses. I’m excited to bring the Emma product and experience to a growing roster of clients across Australia.”

“We see a ton of potential in the Australian market and are really excited to plant the Emma flag there,” said Emma founder and CEO Clint Smith. “Simon’s got big plans for us, and we couldn’t have picked a better person to lead the charge in APAC and globally for Emma.”

Smith said that over the past decade, the company has established a strong customer base across the APAC region, and a “physical presence will support continued growth and provide customers with better in-market service and support.”
