CARACAS: Venezuelan authorities destroyed firearms seized in operations to prevent crime carried out by the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace through the National Service for Voluntary Disarmament.
The measure was executed simultaneously in 18 states countrywide as part of preventive activities, including giving sports kits in exchange for war toys.
These activities belong to the phase of consolidation of the People’s Liberation and Protection Operation (OLP), implemented by the Government of President Nicolas Maduro to dismantle crime gangs and promote a culture of peace and solidarity coexistence in the communities.
