ISLAMABAD: Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Sindh Chief Minister and Pakistan People’s Party leader, has raised concerns over the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) raids in the province and said that the both of the agency and bureau should remain in limits.

Addressing the national Apex Committee meeting, which reviewed the progress and implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP), the chief minister urged the top civilian and military leadership to stop the federal institutions from interfering in the provincial matters.

“FIA is a federal institution. It should stop interfering in the province. NAB’s role should also be made transparent,” he was quoted as saying by the media in the high-level meeting.

“I am the chief executive of the province but I am not being informed about anything,” he complained, adding, “I should be in the picture on all actions prior to their execution.”

The chief minister demanded that the federal government should curtail the role of the NAB and FIA in Sindh as much as possible. He also objected to the NAB’s plea bargain.
