As per the Sindh government’s announcement, Rs12,000 will be given to the traffic accident victim on loss of a tooth, Rs25,000 on loss of all teeth, Rs65,000 on loss of an arm, Rs60,000 on loss of a leg, while Rs0.25 million in case of death.

The provincial government also said that it will be liable to pay Rs75,000, if an eye is permanently damaged in a traffic accident and Rs40,000 if a thumb is lost. If one finger is lost then the government will pay Rs30,000 in compensation, whereas if all five fingers are lost then the compensation will only pay Rs50,000.

The critics and media reports are terming the decision illogical and weird, as the Sindh government seems to have put a price on human organs and even lives.
