Customs Valuation re-determines values of I.V Cannula/I.V Catheter

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation determined the customs values of I.V Cannula/I.V Catheter vide Valuation Ruling No 760/2015.

The customs values of I.V Cannula/I.V Catheter were determined under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969 vide Valuation Ruling No 616/2013 dated 2-12-2013, followed by amendments dated 25-2-2014 and 4-3-2014 and Order-in-Revision No 05/2014 dated 27-1-2014.

According to details, certain importers  filed representation against the existing ruling and requested for re-determination of customs values. The local manufacturers have also made representation against the ruling with the request to revise the values upwards to reflect the correct international prices and agitated against the incorrect classification appearing in the ruling.

As per the Valuation Ruling, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter imported from China would be assessed to C&F $/PC at $0.12, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter imported from Egypt would be assessed to C&F at $ 0.12, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter imported from Italy/ France/U.K/Germany would be assessed at $ 0.30, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter imported from Japan would be assessed at $ 0.34, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter (14 to 22 guage) imported from Korea would be assessed at $ 0.16, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter (24 guage) imported from Korean would be assessed at $ 0.19, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter with stopper (14 to 22 guage) imported from Korea would be assessed at $ 0.21, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter with stopper (24 guage) imported from Korea would be assessed at $ 0.14, 3SCath I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter imported from Korea would be assessed at $ 0.17, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter (Safety) imported from Malaysia would be assessed at $ 0.34, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter (Intocan) imported from Malaysia would be assessed at $ 0.26, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter (Vasofix) imported from Malaysia would be assessed at $ 0.22, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter imported from Saudi Arabia/UAE would be assessed at $ 0.18, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter (14 to 22 guage) imported from Turkey would be assessed at $ 0.14, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter (24 guage) imported from Turkey would be assessed at $ 0.18, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter with stopper (14 to 22 guage) imported from Turkey would be assessed at $ 0.19, I.V Cannula/ I.V Catheter with stopper (24 guage) imported from Turkey would be assessed at $ 0.22.
