Locations in Munich and Dusseldorf will be mainly affected by the cut. Telefonica Germany, having almost 9,100 jobs, has become the biggest mobile service provider in Germany after the takeover of another provider E-Plus a few weeks ago. There are 2,600 employees in its headquarters in Munich, and another 1,000 employees are working in Dusseldorf, the base of E-Plus.
