KUWAIT: Residency Affairs Department detectives arrested an Asian human smuggler who used to bring Indian workers into Kuwait under the sponsorship of citizens.
The suspect completed the transactions in exchange of money that the sponsor would receive as soon as the transaction is completed.
The suspect confessed to charging KD 600 for each transaction, adding that the sponsor gets KD 500 while he keeps KD 100 for himself.
He said the papers he had with him belonged to citizens, adding that he had already received the money and already gave the sponsors their share.
