KUWAIT: Police arrested a man on charges of smuggling a container that contained alcoholic drinks in Kuwait. The arrest came after detectives monitored the cell phone number of a person who arrived to claim the shipment on behalf of its importer.
Police were able to identify and locate an Iraqi man that the representative was in constant contact with. The Iraqi man confessed of asking the Egyptian man to finalize the claim papers in exchange of money, saying that he received KD 600 from the Kuwaiti man who imported the shipment to finish the job. The Kuwaiti man was arrested in an ambush after police made the Iraqi man call and tell him that the paperwork has already finished.
