“The offices of the collectorate are being renovated and model working practices are being adopted to encourage the staff of the collectorate”, he added.

In the past, the officers were assigned multiple tasks but this formula did not work properly, causing serious problems for the collectorate staff, he said, adding that the department of manufacturing, rebate and DTREs are being separated. The whole exercise would help officials to perform their best, Dr Junejo said.

“We are checking the WeBOC and the system is not developed as compared to imports collectorate. I have talked to Chief Collector Enforcement South Zahid Khokhar on the issue,” the collector added.

Dr Saifuddin Junejo said, “There was no mechanism for field visit of the Export Oriented Units however after I took over the charge as Collector Exports I have planned frequent visits to the manufacturing units so the exports of the country could be enhanced”.
