MANATEE: The Florida Association of Chamber Professionals has named the Manatee Chamber of Commerce the 2015 Florida Chamber of Commerce of the Year for the fourth time.The Manatee Chamber also won two communications awards in the categories of Public Relations Programs and Membership Communications/Marketing Materials.
The Manatee Chamber was represented by Jacki Dezelski, executive vice president, and Kim Dalglish, vice president of membership development and services at the state conference. More than 100 chamber professionals from Florida were at Wednesday’s conference in Sanibel.
Judged according to size, the Manatee Chamber of Commerce won the Florida Chamber of the Year Award in the category of chamber of commerce with a budget of over $1 million. Criteria included: accomplishments, financial stability, membership, government relations, strategic planning, technology, communications, special events, and innovation.
