Indian police seize 3kg ganja, nab 3 culprits

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Araku Valley police arrested four BTech students at Kambavalasa village in Dumbriguda mandal of Visakha Agency on Saturday for smuggling ganja and seized 3 kg of the contraband from them. The arrested were identified as Kuppam Dileepkumar Reddy, Velampudi Rajavardhan, Garaga Ganesh Kumar and Pudi Muraliratan, all students of various reputed private institutions across the city.

Araku Valley inspector Simhadri Naidu said that the four students got addicted to ganja and came to Dumbriguda mandal near Araku to procure the weed. Acting on a tip-off, the cops arrested the four when they were shipping the ganja to Vizag. The cops registered a case under various sections of the NDPC Act and initiated an investigation into the incident.
